| Hunter says Alpen scope bumped, banged & dropped | | WOW!!! Let me tell you, during my 5-day horseback pack trip out of Kennedy Meadows into the Sierra at 10,500 feet near Yosemite, that Alpen Kodiak scope on my new Tikka got snowed on, bumped, anged and dropped enough times so it it actually was scratched and dented a bit after climbing rocky granite ledges and through brush and trees. Yet, when it came time, it was dead on for my 120-yard shot on a 300-pound black bear. I have owned many different types of scopes in the past, but from now on, it's Alpen only! There is no scope I know of that wouldn't have been knocked out of wack by all it went through. Congratulations on outstanding optics! Now, I only use Alpen scopes and binoculars.

| Alpen Optics “how the west was won” | | Vickie, Just wanted to say THANK YOU! for your help & support~ We had a great deer hunt and I owe most of it to you and Alpen Optics. The new scope was flawless and performed amazing in some very unfavorable conditions. Southern Utah dirt, wind, rain & hail and this buck was taken in the middle of it all. I glassed him up first thing in the morning. With the naked eye all you could see was his dark body and his white face. There was just enough light to be able to tell he was a deer. Once I pulled up on him with my Apex Scope things changed. I could see not only was he a buck but a pretty good buck indeed. As my friends struggled to see how big he was I pulled the trigger knowing good and well he was a good one.
Two looks and two seconds is all it took. Took one look at his rack and then another look at his vitals and it was over. He was 220 yards away in darkest of dawn. On 10X he looked like he was ten feet away and with the amount of light the apex scope was collecting. There was no-doubt this buck just made a big mistake. Like in all hunts several factors play into whether or not you are successful. Optics is one of the biggest, especially in Utah. Glass ranks right up their with the weapon. Your optics has been a huge part of my success throughout the last several years. Several Mule Deer and Elk have succumb to the power of the Alpen Glass. Thank you for sending the replacement scope to me overnight. I truly appreciate your support, friendship and product.

| Alpen Apex 3-9x42 Riflescope | | Vickie,
"Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful help that I got that day when I came down to at look your scopes, the Apex 3-9 X 42 definitely paid off. I shot a great buck right before dusk, the scope gave plenty of light to make a clean shot. The buck weighed 145 lbs. was a 4 X 4 with eye guards. Thanks for making such a great product, I now know where to get my next scope from for all my rifles."

| Better Than Optics Costing 2-3 Times More | | Here are my comments on the Alpen products. I mean every word written below: After some time researching and looking through binoculars, I bought the Alpen Shasta Ridge #478 10x42. The clarity and quality of the glass is superb. I no longer get eye strain and am comfortable looking through these all day. They perform comparably alongside friends’ optics costing 2-3 times more. (Always get a kick out of that). Since then, I’ve purchased the Apex 4030 riflescope and the compact #728 spotting scope. All put through rigorous use for a full season. Having tried and tested them myself, I’m sold now on the solid build and quality of these optics. BIG FAN!

| Life is Too Short to View the World with Poor Optics! | | I can remember the excitement of being a child at Christmas waiting for Santa Claus to come down the chimney. That’s exactly how I felt when I received a pair of TETON Model #88 10x42 Binoculars from ALPEN OPTICS that I had won from an NRA contest. As dusk approached I grabbed the binoculars and sneaked outside to see how they would perform in dimming light. I had no idea that I would be able to see such detail. I was able to go out before dawn to a place I knew deer would be. I set up in an area where two trails met and you can see for a very long distance. There were already deer there when I arrived. I focused the ALPENS on the first deer I saw and was astounded at how clear the image was and how bright and sharp! My TETONS have twist up eye cups that allow you to use them with or without glasses. The TETON 88’s were so easy to adjust from regular to long eye relief that I can use them either way. How do I feel now that I have had the opportunity to actually own and use a quality pair of binoculars? No way would I part with them. After seeing the difference in binoculars, I’m saving up to buy a spotting scope from ALPEN too. Life is too short to view the world with poor optics!

| Alpen Warranty Second to None | | “At a local dealer I was introduced to Alpen. I was dubious at first but did some research and decided to order. I found the optics were fantastic, the warranty is life of the product, service and prices were as advertised. It is really great stuff.” John G. | |

| Alpens Survive Hurricane Katrina | | After Hurricane Katrina I was sifting thru the debris of what was left of my house, which had up to 8 feet of water in it for 5 hours, when I saw my arrow quiver and binoculars (Alpen Apex 8.5x50) laying in the muck. I was sick as I had found another very expensive pair that I had of a big brand name that had an aquarium in them. There was too much sludge on them to see thru, so I found a puddle of water and swishing them around I got enough of the muck off to see thru a bit and what I saw was astonishing, they were clear. After a better cleaning I found that not even the lenses were scratched. To this day I still offer people on the range that can’t see the lines on a 3D target with theirs, a chance to look thru mine and see them. Thank you Alpen.

“Hunting Terrain All Over the Country with Alpen Optics and Tony Smotherman”
Editor’s Note: Tony Smotherman lives outside of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is a professional outdoorsman and a member of Alpen’s Pro Staff. Smotherman travels all over the country, hunting about 10 states each year for deer, turkey, bear, mule deer, elk, antelope and other big game. He also films hunts for TV shows and videos. Smotherman’s livelihood depends on him being able to find and take game, which is the reason he relies only on Alpen optics.
Question: Tony, why did you choose to become a national pro hunter for Alpen, and what optics do you use? Smotherman: I use the Rainier Series binoculars. These binoculars are equal to or better than the more-expensive binoculars on the market. They not only are clear and sharp, but they’re rugged. They can take the extreme terrains and temperatures in which I hunt, and they’re far-less expensive than some of the bigger names in optical products. I’m a blue-collar hunter, and my audience is blue collar. I was drawn to the Rainier binoculars because of their quality and ruggedness, and my audience can afford them.
Question: You also use a spotting scope, don’t you? Smotherman: Absolutely, all the time. I’ve chosen the Rainier series of spotting scopes because of their clarity and magnification, which I’ve found to perform just as well, if not better, than the most-expensive spotting scopes. My budget can afford a quality spotting scope, like the Rainier scopes. Read More
