- Father of five kids and grandfather to seven grandchildren - the next generation lives on!
- Employed in Law Enforcement
Equipment Utilized:
- when whitetail hunting in New York State I like the lightweight and clarity of the Apex 8X42 for all round hunting use.
- when turkey hunting and IBO competition; I love the rainier 8X32 - when I need to see the spurs or rings! I find the 8X32s out perform most other companies larger heavier optics.
- when I am chasing elk, moose or caribou through remote vast lands; I never go without my Alpen 15-45X60 spotting scope. The light weight never causes me to leave behind. I also use this scope, with its convenient tripod, while sighting in my muzzle loader at the range - makes sighting must quicker and effective.

Erika Anschutz Since becoming involved with archery, Erika has won a total of 37 national championships in indoor, outdoor, and 3-D competition and has shot a total of 163 national record scores, including 21 world records in indoor and outdoor competition. She has also been a member of two Senior, one Collegiate, and five Junior U.S. World Archery Teams, and has won a total of 12 world medals (including five gold, three silver, and four bronze medals) in individual and team competitions at world championship tournaments. Erika became a member of the National Field Archery Association’s Pro Division in 2005 at the age of sixteen, and has been one of the top-ranked professional female archers in the nation since that time.
Erika uses the Alpen model 497 Apex (12 x 50mm) binoculars for spotting shots during indoor competition and outdoor field archery tournaments. She also uses Alpen’s model 788 (20-60 x 80mm) spotting scope for determining shot placement at outdoor FITA target archery events. During indoor and outdoor target archery tournaments, Erika states “it is important for me to have Alpen’s high quality optics so I can quickly and accurately determine my shot placement on the target as the rules of competition only allow a limited amount of time on the shooting line.”

Josh Binger I am 23 years old and about to graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Science through the College of Architecture. My family are my greatest supporters: I enjoy sports of any kind whether it’s playing intramurals or watching my teams on TV. In the future I look forward to teaching others who share my same passion for archery. Alpen Optics have been so reliable in all of the competitions that I have competed in that I wouldn’t choose anything else.
I use the Apex 10 x 50 Binoculars because they provide me with a clear magnified target so when I’m in the field, I know exactly where my arrows hit. Through any type of bad weather or varying light, I know that the Apex will give me the reliable magnification that I need. For my spotting scope that I have used all over the globe, I shoot with the 20-60 x 80 Alpen Spotting Scope because out to 90 meters I need to have the reliability of Alpen for complete accuracy.

Nathan Brooks Uses Apex 8.5 x 50 binos. They are the perfect blend for maximum light transfer, clarity and price!! I have tried and own other optics that cost 4 times as much as my Apex, but they do not have one advantage over my Alpens.
I have 2 daughters that are 6 and 2 yrs old.
I have been married since 1999.
I live in NW Arkansas, but I am an OK Sooner born and bred!
I have been a professional archer since 1999.

Bill Epperson I use Alpen scopes and binoculars because of the sharp crisp image when I look thru them and there dependability.
I was born in the Canal Zone and retired from the Panama Canal. I now live in Biloxi MS. and enjoy coast cuisine, hunting and competitive archery. Being retired I have the time to drive to all the archery events and hunts I go on and seeing this magnificent country we live in is truly a wonderful thing.

Braden Gellenthien I started hunting in 2007. I’m looking to improve my skills this season, as I only harvested one deer last year. I graduated college in the spring of 2008, and now spend my time fishing, hunting, shooting my bow, and playing cards. I replace my Red Sox hat twice a year, and have each one saved on my bed post at my parents’ house in Massachusetts. My favorite food is fried chicken pizza.
I use the 788 Spotting Scope. At 90 meters, every point can be the difference between first and second place. The Alpen 788 gives me the confidence to adjust my sight and maximize my score. This scope’s durability and ruggedness keep the elements out while allowing me to maintain a clear visual of my arrows in a target nearly a football field away.

For competitive archery I use the Teton 8.5x50. The clarity of this binocular allows me to pick the exact spot where I want my arrow to go on a 3-D target. For hunting I use the Apex 8x42. This binocular is perfect for hunting because it is lightweight and gathers plenty enough light during early morning hours and late evening when whitetail deer movement is at its peak.

I use the Alpen Teton 8.5x50 binoculars. They work very well for all the indoor and outdoor shooting that I do – For indoors that’s the NFAA 300 round, the Vegas round, and the FITA 600 round (They are great for identifying when an arrow is in/out of the inner 10); For outdoors, its mostly the NFAA field round, the 600/900 American round, and the FITA target round, and some 3-D. I especially like them for 3-D because they gather plenty of light, even on those very dark targets.

Brittany Lorenti For outdoor practice and competition I use the Alpen 788 (20-60-80) spotting scope. This scope is perfect for seeing my arrows at each of the four different distances at outdoor tournaments, especially 70 meters and enables me to adjust my sight with extreme accuracy. Alpen optics have amazing quality and clarity that I have come to depend on at every tournament I go to.

I use the Apex 8.5x50 for hunting because they are very durable and the clarify is excellent for seeing animals at dusk when its most important. I use the Teton 8.5x50 because the clarify is the best and is important when looking at the 3d animals and what might be between you and the target that other binos might not pickup. In my opinion these are excellent binoculars and the price is more the reasonable for qualify products like this.

Brandon Reyes I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. My passion is whitetail hunting. I am a Mathews Professional Archer. I am a former World Champion 2004. I am production manager of archery hunting sights and target sights for Axcel/Armortech Sights. I enjoy being outdoors, anything that allows me to look through my Alpen Binos.
I prefer using the 2008 Teton Binoculars, they are light weight, compact, and priced to where anyone can afford them. For the money they are simply the best in their class. I would suggest the 8.5X50, they really gather an abundance of light and can be used for anything, hunting, bird watching, or archery in my case.

Scott Schrank I have been shooting archery for fifteen years I am a certified bow tech, and instructor My goal is that I would like to be a positive ambassador to the sport of archery, and teach others the knowledge that I have learned from the best...
I use the Alpen Teton 8x42 (model 84) for 3-D and indoor shooting. They are light weight, and have the best prisms and phase coatings for ultimate clarity. I use the Alpen Apex 10x42 (model 495 mossy) for hunting. They are compact, light weight, long eye reliefs, come in mossy oak, and are awesome in low light conditions with a great field of view. I would just like to say that "Alpen Optics are of the highest quality, maximum in performance, best warranty, and the most reasonably priced optics made." "You just can't see it, Until you CAN see it."
